BALLARAT
has
one of Australia's most dynamic independent, original music scenes, involving
around 1000 people actively performing live music in the last 20 years.
This free online guide to Ballarat's Band History has been produced by Ratnet Multimedia, in conjuntion with The Ballarat Independent Music Website. The history evolved from a small book, funded by The City of Ballarat in 1995, A large amount of work was undertaken to put as much of the info as possible here from the old book, and bands up to about 1998, however it appears a bit dated in 2003 as many of the new acts are not featured. As soon as time and resources permit, we will be updating the history. |
