LIVE INTERNET BROADCAST NETSTOCK '98 - WINTER MUSIC FESTIVAL
Live Internet Broadcast - July 24th and 25th 1998 RATNET presented their first ever Live Internet Broadcast of 'NETSTOCK '98' on July 24 and 25th 1998, featuring five acts over two nights live from The Bridge Mall Inn, Ballarat Australia.

We were fortunate to have THE BEDRIDDEN (legendary Adelaide band) performing their first gig in Ballarat for 6 years,
as part of their reunion tour, as well as local acoustic favourites THE DEAD SALESMEN DUO Friday night's broadcast.

Saturday night also featured some great musical highlights, including new Ballarat band JONAH, playing their blend of
good time rock and pop, as well as the winners of 'Best New Band' at the 1997 Ballarat Independent Music Awards,

INSECT GIRL, who play a very funky mix of soul, ska and groove.

The broadcast was also an ideal opportunity to promote our multimedia website to local music fans, interested in the scene. We made large banners with the website address, as well as cards and stickers telling people about the site and broadcasts. Additionally, we fed the internet feed to a large TV set in the venue, so punters could watch the same action as web-surfers were viewing, and this generated considerable interest!

Thankyou to all the people who sent us comments and said hello on both nights.
We had quite a number of people watching as far away as Melbourne, Europe Scotland and the USA!!

The broadcast was a huge success and we would like to thank the production team
- Graeme Stables, Rex Hardware, Phil Dodd, Garron Leslie, and everyone else who helped out!
